Toronto, ON – Dimensional Letter Lobby sign for AMAPCEO

We were contacted by AMAPCEO Ontario’s Professional Employees in downtown Toronto recently to add a Lobby Sign and some Directional Signage to their elevator lobby. They occupy the entire floor of a Toronto office building and wanted their brand to be present right when someone gets out of the elevator, plus add the convenience of pointing visitors in the right direction.

AMAPCEO already had a logo and a sign behind the reception desk, but wanted a similar sign to greet visitors and staff right when exiting the elevator. They wanted the two to be the same. We created a mockup of the signs in the elevator lobby, as we do with all of our jobs. This enables our customers to see what it will look like before going to the expense of building a sign.

We crafted two signs for their lobby, one on each side of the elevator lobby. To be consistent with the reception sign it had to be a specific blue colour and a Dimensional (3D) sign offset from the wall. We priced out several options for them. In the end, they elected to go with ¼” acrylic material set ¼ ” away from the wall. Other options considered for this job were painted Aluminum letters or cut Vinyl letters. Based on their budget and the fact that two sets were needed, the Acrylic letters were the best solution.

The installation of this sign took several hours. We worked with the client to find out when the traffic through the area will be the lightest. In this case we found a day that had minimal meetings going on so we would not be in the way, plus we needed to drill several holes, which could have been a little disruptive. We were able to complete the install with minimal interruptions, plus the staff walking by, all seemed to like the addition!
