Custom Storage Tank Labels for CSX Corporation’s Boulevard Atlanta Location

Recently, Signs & More was contacted by CSX’s Environmental Manager for help in their Boulevard Atlanta facility.  They had cleaned and painted their storage tanks and needed proper marking for them.  This article describes the project and includes pictures of the finished tanks.

They had different colors and sizes of tanks holding different materials.  Below are photos of the finished tanks.

CSX Corporation is one of the nation’s leading transportation suppliers.  The company provides rail-based transportation services including traditional rail service and the transport of intermodal containers and trailers over about 21,000 route miles of track in 23 states.  Nearly two-thirds of Americans live within CSX’s service territory.  CSX serves major markets in the eastern United States moving a broad portfolio of products across the country in a way that minimizes the effect on the environment, takes traffic off an already congested highway system, and minimizes fuel consumption and transportation costs.

In designing the decals for the storage tanks, it was important to take good measurements of the tanks and verify that decals would stick to them.  High grade vinyl was needed to stand up to the materials in the tanks.  After CSX approved the tank proofs for size and content, we prepared the decals for installation.  One more visit to the tanks and the project was completed.
