Just in time for July 4th. Experience signs was contacted by a local Fire Works retailer that wanted to make a big splash with a Full Color Electronic Message Center. The challenge was that the sign needed to be in place in time to help drive fire works sales for the holiday. Given that we were contacted at the end of May, the schedule pressure was immense.

Fortunately, we have great partners. One such partner is Cirrus LED of Emeryville, California. Cirrus was able to offer exceptional delivery time for their Blade Full Color system. The system was in our hands within two weeks of placing the order. In addition, Cirrus provided great pricing.

The image to the left shows the Cirrus electronic Message Center fully functional. Given the short schedule time, it was imperative to utilize the existing sign structure. Our design team worked with the client to devise an quick and effective installation method that allowed us to use the two existing 6′ x 6′ posts.

While at the time of this blog, the installation still required final packaging and securing of the controller and power supply wires, the board was functional to do exactly what the customer desired.

Once the fourth of July holiday is behind us, the final installation steps will be completed leaving a very attractive and effective advertising tool. The client has already had success selling advertising space to other local merchants who don’t have the ability to get the great visibility provided by the full color board.

The 15mm Electronic Message Center is a 2′ x 8′ modular system attached to the Cirrus aluminum frame system. The entire unit was assembled an installed in less that three hours. The best feature of the system is that the client can grow the sign to any size that can be built from 1′ x 2′ panels. He’s had the unit a week and is already planning a size upgrade.
