It has never been easier to personalize your musical instruments with a custom graphic vinyl wrap. Using the same materials and technology as we do for vehicle wraps and window wraps, the vinyl wrap experts at Iconography Studios are able to design, produce and install unique, one-of-a-kind graphics on just about any musical instrument.

The process is very similar to that of designing, producing and installing a vehicle wrap, with the added step of creating a print template for the specific instrument. Wrapping cars and trucks is a big industry, and most vehicle wrap companies have purchased a complete set of templates that includes almost every make and model of vehicle from 1991 through the present. Such templates do not exist for musical instruments, so our design team must first create the template using detailed measurements.

Once the template has been created, the graphic design can be built into the template, and then printed onto the same adhesive-backed vinyl material that is used for vehicle wraps. After printing, the material is laminated to protect against minor scratches and general wear-and-tear.

The final phase is installation of the material onto the instrument. This is a tedious and precise job, as every part of the surface of the material must be properly applied with a squeegee so that the adhesive is activated. If the material is not meticulously applied, then lifting or bubbling of the vinyl can occur.

Custom vinyl graphics can be applied to most musical instruments and other items, provided the surface of the item is compatible with the vinyl material and will adhere properly. Items should have a smooth finish. Metals, woods, and most painted plastic surfaces can be wrapped with adhesive-backed vinyl.
