If your business owns or operates a cargo van as part of its fleet of vehicles, then you already have one of the most valuable advertising tools available! Did you know that vehicle wraps, or mobile billboards, are the most cost-effective forms of outdoor advertising. If your cargo van or other fleet vehicle is not wrapped up in advertisement for your business, then you are missing out on a huge opportunity.

For less than the price of a cup of coffee ($2 per day over the life of your vehicle wrap) you can reach more customers with a vehicle wrap than you can with any other form of outdoor advertising.

Wrapping your cargo van or other fleet vehicle is easy. There are three basic steps to all vehicle wrap projects:

1. DESIGN: The design phase involves taking your company’s logo, imagery, text and other elements and arranging them into a layout that fits on your vehicle, projects your branding and possibly a simple message without losing key parts of the design during the installation process. A good vehicle wrap design artist will help guide you through the process, by showing you proofs and discussing what works and what is most effective when it comes to wraps.

2. PRODUCTION: Once your vehicle wrap design is complete, the production stage can begin. This involves printing, laminating and trimming your material to be ready for the installation process. The type of material used can vary depending on whether your wrap is a long term or shorter term project, and what type of surface the material is being applied to – a flat box trucks with lots of rivets requires a different material than a Sprinter Van or VW Beetle with lots of compound curves.

3. INSTALLATION: Always select a certified vehicle wrap installer to install your vehicle wrap. Certified installers will make sure your wrap is properly applied so that it does not lift, peel or bubble throughout the life of your wrap. The vehicle wrap material adheres to your vehicle with pressure-sensitive, microscopic glue bubbles that must be appropriately applied in order to stick. Heat guns and knives are also used during the application process – you don’t want to trust just anyone with these tools around your vehicle.
