Acrylic Letters Mounted to Monument Sign for Heartis in Longview, TX

We were recently contacted by Caddis Healthcare Real Estate in Dallas, TX. They recently purchased an assisted living facility in Longview, TX formally called Fountainview Estates. The newly acquired purchase was cause for a re-branding effort. The assisted living facility located on Lago Trail will now be called Heartis Longview.

Here are before and after pictures of the monument sign. The existing letters were constructed of thin plastic that were drilled and tapped into the brick structure. The new letters are 1/4″ thick acrylic letters that are custom paint matched. The new look acrylic letters really pop out against the light brown background. The monument sign transitions from a crowed look to simple yet dynamic look.

To prepare the existing monument structure for new dimensional lettering we had to remove the old letters. Since the old letters were drilled, tapped and glued, there was quite a mess to clean up. Once the letters were removed we were able to buff off the glue that was left behind. After the glue was removed we began to patch and smooth out the holes left from the studs. We then did a color match with Sherman Williams paint and painted over the face of the monument sign. Now we have a nice surface to work with while installing the new acrylic letters. A drill pattern was secured on the face line up where the new holes were drilled. The next and final step was to secure each letter with studs and silicone to the hold the acrylic letters in place.

Acrylic is a great option for both indoor and outdoor application. It is available in thicknesses from 1/8th to 1 inch and letters sizes up to 72 inches. The material offers a wide range of customization from color, size and shape. It holds up great against the elements and can be produced in as little as 3-4 business days.
