Livermore: The Learning Tree and Your Child’s Development

Posted in: Industry News

April is Autism Awareness Month, and it’s a great time to remind parents that teachers and caregivers like those of us at The Learning Tree preschool in Livermore are your partners in monitoring your child’s growth and development. We love seeing your children progress as much as you do!

Our dedicated teachers regularly check the progress of the kids in their classrooms. With their years of experience and training, our staff knows when to alert you to things we see that may be cause for concern. We love having open communication with our parents, and we also want to hear from you if you have any worries about your child’s growth and development. Let’s work together to do what’s best for your child!

Are you wondering if your child is meeting a standard developmental milestone? Your pediatrician is a great person to ask if you have any concerns or questions. There is also a great resource from the CDC that offers breakdowns by age on what is developmentally appropriate. Our staff also talks with our families about things we observe during our time with your children.

Early intervention can make a significant difference for many types of developmental delays, so it’s a great idea to keep track of the milestones and seek advice or help when warranted. And please bring your childcare provider into the loop—we are here to help, and we care about your children, too! We stand ready to work with you and the other professionals who may be tracking your child’s development and working to make sure they have the healthiest start possible.

You can learn more about how our preschool education program enhances each child’s development on our website—or better yet, visit our school and see our program in action! We look forward to meeting your family and answering your questions.
