Today’s technology is truly amazing and can be so educational for our young ones. These new programs provide entertainment, fun activities and something to keep them busy. Here at The Learning Tree Preschool in Livermore, we want nothing but the best for our kids and to prepare each and everyone of them for a very bright future. We understand that technology is important, but we also would like to acknowledge the importance of getting out and active!

iPad

Preschool is the first of many stepping stones, and we want our kids to be able to widely communicate with everyone around them. Some ways of getting your child to set the iPad aside for a while might include finding a sport he/she likes to play and going to the nearest park for a little to let them run around and have fun. Another option is proposing a family game night with the newest edition of monopoly and some popcorn!

Adding to that, you can always make plans to go on a hike or bike ride then have a picnic so everyone can get a breath of fresh air and a look at the beautiful nature that surrounds us. The Learning Tree Preschool recognizes that some families might be tight on time but we encourage all of our little ones to get out and get active as much as possible because in ten years are they really going to remember how many levels they passed on Candy Crush? No – they more likely to remember the laughs they shared among friends and family. They will only be kids for so long so make sure that you and your child get the most out of their childhood and set them up with life skills they will need so much in the future!
