Home owners all over the DFW metorplex has a window situation close to the one in the picture.  Windows that make the home more spacious and open but get direct sun.  Window blinds and curtains are not made nor reflect heat and UV only block the sun but still allowing the heat to rise and maintain in home.  In order for window treatements to block the sun they must remain close totally removing the window from view and negating the reason why you have windows.

Solar film is a perfect solution for all windows exposed to the sun.  In Texas, that would be East, South, and West facing windows year around.  Solar film is manufactured with 100% metallized coated polyester film to create a virtual invisible barrier between the sun and a temperature controled environment.  Technology is called specturally-selective,  it is reflecting a high amount of heat by reflecting a higher portion of the infrared spectrum and the UV spectrum vs the amount of visible light reflected.  Creating a high heat and UV rejection while maintaining 100% visibility due to the light allowed to pass thru.   Same as a high-end water filter.

These products will be allowed in any HOA controlled subdivision and are safe on double-pane LOW-E glass
