Houston, TX – A Marketing Circle of Trust part 1

Posted in: Industry News

Remember the movie, “Meet the Parents”?

Well the circle of trust idea was pretty funny but in the marketing world the circle of trust also exists.

There are places around the web that your clients expect you to be. If you don’t have a website, that is usually pretty bad. Not having a good website is worse than not having one.

Having a good website but then no social activity, most viewers think you aren’t credible.

The list goes on and on.

That being said, I think every company should have as much as they can, the following channels available to make them look credible.  It might just be one person handling all of these or a few.

1 – Website

Have a great website with all possible content and pictures you potential clients will need. The less stock images you use of models then better. Your website is an extension of you.

Have a face on your website, preferably yours, that looks back at the people who are looking at you. This is a small physiological trick that can do a lot.

This makes people feel like you are already interacting with them though they know you aren’t really looking at them.

2 – Around the Web

I had a guy reach out to me once hoping to do some business together. He was hoping we could partner up on a specific deal. On paper it looked great when I read the email but…

I did a basic Google search for the guy and found that he had a felony pending of embezzlement and laundering funds. The article even explained how he used family members to carry out his “business.”

Needless to say, I said no. Google your name and your business name, make sure your online footprint is a good one.

I’ll pick this up in the next article.
