Have you thought much about roof leaks? You could have a roof leak for years and not know it. Depending on how the wall or the ceiling is structured, it might not actually be dripping into a visible area of the room. If you can find those wet areas you can backtrack it and see where the water is coming in from. Good thing about water is that it always flows downhill and it goes through anything.
