HID Xenon Lights – Much More Of A Safety Measure Than You Might Think

For those who have no idea what HID Xenon Lights are, they’re the extremely bright lights that some cars have, mainly the newer models and older luxury models.  At night they shine more than twice as bright as normal headlights, usually a white or bluish color.  Besides being like a giant super powered flashlight, they also make your trip, commute or just the drive down to the grocery store, much safer.

They say that driving is one of the most dangerous things that people do every day.  Supposedly it’s more dangerous than sky diving, flying in a plane and diving with sharks.  I’m not sure if I agree because instinctively I would rather take my chances with driving a car over shark bites, plane crashes and parachute failures.  But it’s also crazy to think that it could happen to you at any moment where you have no control over the situation.  Or perhaps, just didn’t see it coming in time.

HID lights dynamically increase your peripheral vision.  They help you to spot objects and people at night 100s of yards away versus as little as 30 feet.  They also shine a type of light that is much closer to actual sunlight and also plays a part in helping us to see better with HID lights.  Non Hid lights (halogen) are harder for the human eye to clearly detect and can result in blurred vision and excess squinting which often leads to night time driving headaches.
