SignWorks offers custom fabricated channel letters whether they are front lit, back lit, both front and back lit, or non-illuminated. These dimensional letters are mostly made of aluminum so that they won’t rust. The sides of the letters are formed by bending 3” to 6” strips of aluminum called returns and attaching them to the back of the cut out aluminum letter.

• Front Lit Channel Letters: These letters are produced using the latest technology and equipment and designed to the most exacting customer specifications. These letters are popular and can be produces quickly.

• Reverse Channel Letters (Radiant Back Lit): A very popular lettering style that involves welding aluminum returns to an aluminum face. Light is emitted out of the back on the letter onto the wall where the letter is mounted. This creates negative space at night. When the inside of the letter is painted gloss white it helps the bright LED’s shine even brighter out of the polycarbonate back. This creates a radiant back lit letter.

• Front & Back Lit Channel Letters: These fabricated letters allow the face of the letter to be illuminated while simultaneously allowing light to shine out of the back of the latter. Adding translucent vinyl to the face of the letter or changing the color of the LED’s can add sizzle and color to the letter.

• Exposed Neon (LED) Channel Letters (pictured): Exposed channel letters resemble standard channel letters but the face of the letter is not covered with plastic. Many California cities no longer allow exposed neon channel letters, so it is extremely important to check with your local city for the ordinances that apply in your area.

• Non Illuminated Channel Letters: Eye catching channel letters that are well constructed need not be lit. Such letters can be mounted directly to a wall or sign face and are made in the same high quality way as their lit counterparts.
