Have Truck Will Travel!

When a local mover contacted SignWorks about developing a creative branding strategy for his large box truck and two smaller ones, we were delighted! Unlike the nooks and crannies associated with the contours of smaller vehicles and SUVs, box trucks both large and small represent a relatively flat canvas for creating visually appealing graphics and branding. Since the client is working within a very strict budget we simplified the existing design (being used on the existing printed materials) to remove the textured concrete background. This one change will allow our mover to economize because only a portion of the design will need to be produced as a digital print.Using a solid cut vinyl background color eliminates the associated ink cost and the need to over laminate the printed image. Since the expected life of a busy moving van is not very extensive we are also recommending a vinyl with a 5-year outdoor rating versus one with a longer life span which represents yet another saving. In this case the vinyl that is being used is permanent, but if your company is planning a short-term promotion you may want to consider a less expensive promotional grade vinyl for short-term use. You’ll like the cost savings!

Though we will be applying vinyl to the sides and rear of these box trucks, another way to save would be to simplify the rear panel graphics to display only the essential contact information using cut vinyl.
