Hayward, CA – Exterior Restaurant Signs Should Deliver Patrons to Your Door!

The restaurant industry requires a broad array of signage, especially illuminated signs for those that are open at night or those wanting to attract walk in or drive through patrons.  Night time visibility, especially in busy retail corridors, is essential.  It goes without saying that food the needs to be well prepared, the selection varied and of broad appeal. One of our fabricators just shared some details about an upcoming installation project that will include a branded illuminated sign cabinet, a directional arrow (illuminated sign cabinet) identifying the drive through area, as well as individual back lit channel letters.

Typically, sign cabinets are formed using sheet metal which is cut with a CNC router into the desired shape.  The metal used to form the sides, referred to as returns, is bent and into welded or machined into place.  Similarly the acrylic or LEXAN face is cut and attached to the cabinet after the LED bulbs have been placed inside.

The illuminated channel letters require a minimum stroke width of approximately 1.25” in order to accommodate the LED bulbs.  Individual channel letters can be front, back or both front and back lit.  Like sign cabinets, or light boxes, the acrylic and aluminum used to fabricate them, is cut using a CNC router.
