San Francisco, CA – Another ADA Sign Project Is Complete!

Posted in: Industry News

SignWorks will install another Americans with Disabilities (ADA) sign project for our partner AMP Printing. Their client, a technology company, is based in San Francisco and we had worked with AMP previously on the client’s room identification signs.  A recent redesign of their space and move from Berkeley to San Francisco meant that some additional ADA signs, 15 in all (at 7” wide and 5” tall), are needed at the new facility.  As is our custom, design staff worked on a proof for the client’s approval.  Because we were working through our favorite ADA wholesaler who had fabricated the previous sign order, we were able to fast track the production process.

As you can see from the picture, the design is modern and visually appealing in contrast to the perception that ADA signs must be boring and non-descriptive.  Nowadays architects and designers are developing shapes and color palettes that are creative and visually interesting, while still compliant with ADA guidelines!

Unfortunately, when the pandemic hit, the installation had to be delayed until the client was ready to re-open their facility.  The installation will happen this week.

We are proud of our relationship with AMP Printing.  They continue to be the printer of choice for many large Silicon Valley firms in and around the San Francisco Bay Area.   The company is based in Dublin and their client list reads like the Who’s Who of Silicon Valley! They happily supply the print and wall graphics, whether in small or large digital format.  AMP Printing sometimes will need to partner with others to fill other client needs, especially when commercial signage is needed.

The company was founded in 1979 and like SignWorks is woman owned.  Their 200,000 square foot state of the art facility is home to 150 employees and their print services include traditional offset printing, short run digital printing, large format digital printing, and letterpress, as well as bindery, kitting and fulfillment.

SignWorks is very pleased to have produced ADA room identification signs for a variety of large construction firms, including Turner Construction and Cahill Contractors.  In fact, our ADA signs are in several Oakland schools!  We have fabricated ADA signs for local commercial real estate clients and property managers throughout the Bay Area. When you need ADA tenant identification signs for your building, please call us at (510) 357-2000.   To learn more about us, please visit our website where you can view blog posts and photographs of recent projects.  We want to work with you on your future ADA sign projects!
