Vinyl Window Lettering Promotes Hayward Optometry Center Hours

Posted in: Industry News

When The Optometry Center  was burglarized two weekend ago and was forced to order a new entry door, they gave SignWorks a call to update the entry door lettering.  We had already been working with this repeat client to update their hours of operation which has changed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. We are all in agreement that one of the most customer-friendly things most businesses can do is display key information on their glass entry doors and cut vinyl lettering is an easy and attractive way to inform potential customers of your company name, business hours, telephone number and website address. In addition, the building and suite number should also be displayed prominently for all visitors, including customers, delivery drivers and first responders. This basic information displayed as cut vinyl window decals can also advertise your products, services, prices and other marketing details.

If the businesses has several principal professionals, such as health care providers or insurance agents, it’s good to include a list of names on the door as well. Our original interaction with this client was when they made changes in their professional team and they contacted us to remove the old lettering and install the new ones.

Dr. Mujda Zhublawar, a member of The Optometry Center team since 2006, soon after obtaining her Doctorate of Optometry degree, is the owner of the practice. She completed her U.C. Berkeley residency at the San Francisco Veterans Medical Center, where she received further training in managing and treating glaucoma, macular degeneration, and post-operative cataract patients along with other eye diseases.

Dr. Rick Pope has more than 30 years as a Doctor of Optometry under his belt and a wide range of expertise including pediatric optometry and eye care for people with diabetes, hypertension and high cholesterol. And, he is always interested in the latest advances in eye care through computerized state-of-the-art equipment.

Vinyl window lettering can be done in standard vinyl colors to include black or white, or custom printed colors to match your brand. While the typical size of front door lettering is no more than 25 by 25 inches it does take practiced hands to install it correctly. We must first saturate the old vinyl with isopropyl alcohol and scrape off the old lettering with a razor blade. After the glass is clean and dry, the new lettering is carefully centered and leveled, then taped in place while the backing is carefully cut and partially removed. Our installers use a squeegee to gradually attach the new lettering from the top down while slowly peeling away the backing. When done correctly, the letters will be free of air bubbles and adhere to the glass for years to come.
