SignWorks is working on three separate projects involving vehicle graphics for delivery/service vehicles similar to the one pictured. In each case, the company branding and logo design has already been established and each client is heavily vested in using their vehicles to promote their goods and services in the local markets they serve. Fleet graphics need not be super expensive and doesn’t need to be a full wrap of the entire vehicle. In fact, done correctly, even with simple lettering, it is an extremely cost effect method of advertising when compared to other advertising mediums such as print, radio, billboards and television as evidenced in the chart below:
Selecting cut vinyl letters in combination with a few artfully placed digital prints can be a cost effective method of delivering (for about $0.35 per impression) effective advertising in your local market!
One of our clients has recently purchased a Mercedes Sprinter in a grey color, so their existing grey and blue color scheme that worked well for their white vans, simply will not work. We are in the process of developing a silver and blue color scheme and the challenge has been to find the right blue with sufficient contrast against the grey background.
Another client has a corporate color scheme with specific non-stock colors which means that we will have to convert their PMS or pantone colors to equivalent CMYK values so that the colors can be digitally printed and are an exact match. Corporations often invest significant amounts of resources in selecting color, fonts, images and messaging that conveys the corporate branding, so adhering to their specifications when applying lettering and/or images is extremely important.
Each of the above projects will require the use of premium high performance vinyl. While none of the projects involves a full nose to tail wrap of the vehicle body, or calls for wrap vinyl with air egress channels that allows for contours and rounded curved shapes, standard vinyl would not be appropriate. Wrap vinyl, which is much more expensive, is re-positionable and removable. It is used where there is curvature around fenders, doors, etc.
