Union City, CA – Local Food Supplier Replaces Damaged Sign, Again!

We were contacted by restaurant and food supplier La Terra Fina  in Union City that a truck had hit there sign and that this time they wanted to add three bollards in front of the sign to protect it!  This is the third time the sign has had to be replaced and the second time we have been called in to do the work.  Thankfully, the 96” wide by 28” tall DiBond sign panel itself was unscathed, but the wooden 4”x4” posts were severed by the impact of the truck.  Since there was no design work involved it was more a matter of ordering the bollards and waiting for their arrival along with a dry spell of weather so that digging out the old footings and adding new posts/footings for the posts and bollards could be tackled.  The damaged sign is pictured and we’ll post the new picture when we finish the re-installation tomorrow.

DiBond is used a lot for exterior signs and is fairly light weight but rigid.  This aluminum composite is made with corrugated plastic sandwiched between two thin sheets of aluminum.  This makes for a strong rigid panel that is light weight and extremely durable.  A great choice for the exterior even for signs that attach directly to a building façade.  The DiBond panels had been lettered with the client’s logo and text using premium vinyl graphics.

This well-known restaurant food supplier is local to the Bay Area.  The business was started in 1983 by a caterer who became known for her delicious quiches and dips.  Their chef inspired product list has grown and the stores supply many products for grocery and club stores throughout the greater Bay area.
