Oakland, CA – Coliseum Transit Village Evacuation Maps Delivered

SignWorks recently completed the evacuation map signs for Cahill Contractors renovation project at the Coliseum Transit Village and delivered those, along with the accessible parking signs to the jobsite.  Based on the large sizes of the buildings and the detail required the maps were sized at 19” wide and 24” tall.  There are 15 maps in all, each featuring a non-glare acrylic lens as required by the Fire Marshall and corner mounting holes as shown in the picture.  Each map and the required egress path and symbols is carefully reviewed by the fire department for accuracy.  It is essential that the maps are accurate because they help to ensure the safety of firefighting personnel in an emergency situation!

We are still working with our vendor to fulfill the remaining ADA (Americans with Disabilities) braille and tactile signage which is scheduled to ship directly to the jobsite in mid-January.  Thankfully, the dimensional address sign in ½” thick brushed aluminum (lettering that is 12” tall and produced by our wholesale partner, Gemini) has already been delivered and is ready to install.  We use this particular wholesaler due to their industry leading production standards which include a life time warranty!
