Pleasanton, CA – Gap, Inc. Dimensional Letter Lobby Sign Gets Installed

When SignWorks  originally worked on the signage for Gap, Inc. facilities renovation in Pleasanton, we had already done the design and layout work for the 1/2″ thick brushed aluminum and 14.44″ tall dimensional letter sign.  We had had our wholesale partner, Gemini, Inc., fabricate the logo with the intention of installing it along with the other signs that were a part of the facility renovation.  Evidently, because Gap does not occupy the entire building, this particular installation was delayed in order to secure the required building owner approvals.

About a month ago we were given the heads up that the lobby sign installation was a go and that we could schedule the installation once the purchase order was issued.  As you can see from the picture the lobby sign, branding the space, is now complete and gives the facility a finished and welcoming look!  As a major retailer, Gap is an experienced marketer and understands the importance of branding and establishing a corporate identification.

Back in 1969 Gap owners, Doris and Don Fisher, came up with the simple idea of making it easier to find a pair of jeans.  They also embarked on a commitment to do much more.   Their company is now a global fashion business, comprised of the Gap, banana republic, Old Navy, Athleta and Intermix.  Gap is present in 90 countries and runs over 3,300 company operated stores, as well as 400 franchise stores.  When you add e-commerce sites to the list it affords the company even greater exposure!
