Moraga, CA – Sandblasted HDU Sign Looks Fabulous!

SignWorks was thrilled when the Town of Moraga contacted us to replace their old wood sign.  We talked about the wear characteristics of HDU (High Density Urethane) relative to other sand blasted wood signs, and they decided that they would move forward with a sand blasted HDU sign.  The sign as shown in the picture is 70” wide and 30” tall and 1.5” thick and after sandblasting was painted in the colors specified by Town of Moraga personnel.

The project began in early May and after the sign was approved for production it took about 5 weeks to fabricate.  Our installers completed the installation in late June.  We worked with our client on enhancing the design to include the arched feature shown.  The sign is mounted to treated wood posts that are anchored in cement and will be in place for many years to come.  These types of signs are an excellent choice for the outdoors, especially in rustic settings.

Moraga is nestled in the beautiful hillside between Orinda and Lafayette and is comprised of a very diverse population.  It has a small town feel and has many parks, trails, a golf course and an array of outdoor activities to fit most tastes.
