Palo Alto, CA – New Dimensional Letter Sign at Oshman Jewish Community Center

Repeat and referral orders are the life’s blood of most businesses and a source of pride for a job well done!  It is in the spirit that we express our gratitude for the most recent direct order for dimensional letters from the Oshman Family Jewish Community Center (OFJCC), Palo Alto, CA.  We had done several installation projects for them after having been contracted by an out of state manufacturer, but this time the client opted to work with us directly on their latest dimensional letter project.

The electrical (or clock tower) where the sign was to be mounted was on a slope which added some challenge to the task at hand.  When the scissor lift proved to be unstable, an articulating lift had to be forklifted into place due to some onsite construction which made the ramp to the upper campus inaccessible.  And, after all, safety is always one of our primary concerns.

This time we worked directly with Gemini to supply the ½” thick 10.5” and 5.6” Acrylic lettering spelling out the donors’ name as shown in the above picture.  The designer white color selection and font was selected to be consistent with the signage design developed for the client by the GNU Group.  The GNU Group is a four decade old firm that focuses on and delivers design excellence in branding, merchandising, displays and associated sign program development.  We were privileged to have worked with them on prior campus projects.

The Oshman JCC features a sports and a wellness center. It offers education and social opportunities for Jewish people of all ages to learn and grow their understanding of Jewish and Russian faith, culture and the arts.  A well-appointed café rounds out the campus and doubles as a premier event venue.

In this instance SignWorks was responsible for the entire process from design and layout, to production drawings, ordering and installation.   Our sign project management include all the associated installation tasks, including ordering and scheduling necessary equipment.
