Turner Construction’s 75 Hawthorne Project Approaching Its Final Stages in San Francisco!

Posted in: Industry News

Product: Tenant Directories & Evacuation Map Signage

Location: San Francisco, CA

Client: Turner Construction

SignWorks is winding down its activities and placing the final signage orders for phases 5 and 6 of Turner Construction’s 75 Hawthorne the project in San Francisco.  We finally obtained the input from the owners that allows us to fabricate the tenant directories for the final floors that are being built out.  In addition, our client completed the approval process and walk through with the fire marshal from the San Francisco Fire Department that allows us to proceed with the last of the evacuation maps.

This final order will bring to a close approximately two years of collaborative work with our client and includes a myriad of sign types including ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) tenant and suite signs, directories, dimensional letters, vinyl wall graphics, evacuation signage and more.  It has involved working with sign wholesalers, Gemini and Identity Group (who acquired Alchemy Digital Graphics midway through the project), and Fellers who supplied the specialty 3M Envision vinyl.  The 3M Envision vinyl used in the stairwells and Bicycle storage area is the latest in non PVC based vinyl, meaning that it is eco-friendly. We used 3M Opaque vinyl to make the elevator lobby wall graphics and the no smoking wall and window decals.

We are extremely proud of the relationship we have developed with Turner Construction which was founded 113 years ago.  They are a national construction contractor that also works internationally on large scale construction projects.  Their staff of over 5,200 people typically works on about 1,500 projects a year.  They are a Green Building and LEED technology leader.  SignWorks is especially pleased at they’re efforts to include local, small and specialty contractors like us in the local markets they serve.

Notice in the pictures above some examples of the types of signs and evacuation maps we supplied for this project.  The design work completed by Square Peg reflect the overall contemporary look and feel of this majestic high rise building.

SignWorks is happy to have worked with many local and national construction companies including Turner Construction, Shimmick, Clark Construction, and Arntz Builders.  We have also worked with some smaller specialty contractors like Atkinson Construction, A-One Construction and FOCON. We have bid and fabricated an assortment of sign types and welcome the opportunity to bid on your next construction project.  Call us at (510) 357-2000 or email us at info@signworks.us.com with the signage details for your next construction or renovation project and we will happily supply a quote!
