New Exterior Building Signs for Tom Duffy in San Leandro!

When the management of Tom Duffy, a flooring company, located in San Leandro they had complained that they signage was old and falling apart.  They sent us pictures and asked if we did exterior wood (MDO) building sign replacements.  We began working with the client to assess the need and subsequently found during our site survey that the sign frames were also in need of repair.

In the picture above you will see the two 4 ft. by 12 ft. finished sign exterior signs.  In order to rebuild the sign frames underneath it was necessary to erect scaffolding and do the carpentry work to add supports and fascia material.  We wanted to be sure that the frame was strong enough to support the weight of the MDO material used as the backer.

Tom Duffy Company is large regional floor covering supplier who distributes flooring products throughout California, Nevada and Arizona. They offer a wide range of specialty products with local stock in several locations.  They also sell all the components needed for a flooring project. They cater to the professional flooring installer and strive to be the flooring wholesaler of choice.

We used ½” MDO (a wood material with an enamel face used in sign making) as our backer.  The company supplied the corporate logo and our designer created the graphic and copy being careful to match the design palate in terms of font selection and color.  The graphic was mounted to the backer using two equal 4 ft. by 6 ft. sections for each sign.   The logistics included ordering scaffolding and managing the carpentry aspects of the project as well as the actual installation.  As you can see the project turned out well and we are very pleased with the results!
