Project Update | Coast Tool Fleet Graphics, San Leandro

Some projects have a way of evolving over time and this project for Coast Tools did exactly that. We were contacted by the company’s remote marketing organization and collaborated with them to ensure the placement of the corporate logo and other fleet graphics elements were perfectly aligned on the vehicles that were to be lettered. There were a total of six cargo vans, between the company’s San Leandro and Modesto locations. Each location had different phone numbers that would need to be displayed.

When the design and layout was complete and the installation was due to be scheduled, including arranging for the remote vehicles to be transported to San Leandro for the installation, the company contacted their field personnel. As it turned out, many of the vehicles that were being scheduled for graphics were in the process of being upgraded or replaced within the year. This information had been unknown to the company’s marketing staff.

As it turns out the perfect solution was close at hand! A pair of logo door magnets, customized to feature the correct phone number for each location. This strategy allowed the customer to provide the correct and updated information across the entire fleet, while economizing on their fleet graphic outlay. When the vans are replaced next year they will contact us to letter the new replacement cargo vans. In fact, we are looking forward to the project and have the art file ready for production.
