Project Update |Shimmick, Port of Oakland Reflective Labels

Posted in: Industry News

________________________________________________________________________________________

We have worked on quite a few projects with Shimmick over the years and we’re happy to report the completion of yet another. Shimmick is doing some work out at the Port of Oakland and some of the signs, consisting of aluminum signs and labels, needed to be produced in a hurry. The labels are being used to identity substations and equipment at the facility.

The project called for specialty vinyl (yellow 3M Diamond Grade) which is quite expensive; consequently our local suppliers do not stock it. This special order vinyl generally comes directly from the manufacturer and can take anywhere from a few days to two weeks to arrive depending on the size of the vinyl roll that is needed. The material is thick and can be challenging to work with and cut. In total we produced 8 aluminum signs and 72 Ready to Apply (RTA) labels to match the sample pictured above.

SignWorks prides itself on being responsive to the needs of our clients and to the completion of critical projects, on time and on budget. If you want to work with a sign company that takes its commitments and deadlines seriously, then call us at 510-357-2000 or send an email to info@signworks.us.com.
