Project Update |Fournée Bakery, Berkeley

When Frank, owner of Fournée Bakery, first contacted us he presented us with a black and white picture of a hand drawn logo. The new bakery which will soon open in Berkeley has beautiful glass front windows and doors. As we began to explore colors options and sizing, it became apparent that Frank wanted a very upscale look. We had suggested modern metallic gold lettering, but Frank decided on hammered gold leaf which is one of the more expensive specialty vinyls. It is a high end yet stately look that appeals to traditional buyers who want to make a statement.

Window lettering is somewhat of a staple when it comes to the retail storefront but gold leaf provides and eye catching and upscale alternative that stands out. Similar effects exist in silver and there is mirrored chrome that is becoming popular. The brand we used carries a 5 year durability rating.

If you are considering a window lettering project or considering a specialty vinyl to make a statement and stand out from the crowd we would be happy to hear from you and to provide some insights on your choices.
