No, we’re not a typical nursing home.  Nursing homes are skilled nursing facilities and provide 24 hour nursing services.  Typically nursing homes cater to rehabilitation from injury or illness and are provide assistance to those that are in need of constant or intensive medical attention.

The difference between a nursing home and the services that we provide 24 hour supervision and personal assistance.  We aid in personal hygiene help and bathing as well as assistance with many other tasks and activities.  We are regulated by the Department of Social Services.  We don’t have trained nurses on staff.

However, we are conveniently located very close to hospitals and in certain cases we can apply with the Department of Social Services to have extra attention and care brought in for those who need more that what the state regulates.
