Second Food Truck Wrap for Retro Sno in Nashville, TN

Posted in: Client Examples

Project: Nashville Food Truck Wrap

Location: Nashville, TN

Client: Retro Sno

We have had the privilege of working on not one, but two, of Retro Sno’s food trucks! Retro Sno is one of Nashville’s many cherished food trucks that travels around to different events and locations selling their delicious wares to happy locals. Retro Sno is known for their light and creatively flavored snow-cone-like treats called “snoballs.” A snoball is like a snow cone but instead of using crushed, granular ice bits to form a ball they use ice that has been finely shaved to have the actual texture of snow. They then flavor the sno balls with syrups they create themselves that they try to keep as natural as possible. Second wrap job for Retro Sno's food truck

We worked on Retro Sno’s original truck (named “Razz” after one of their most popular flavors) and then got to work on their second truck (“Tres” after their “Tres Leches” flavor). In both cases, the truck was painted teal and we added graphics over the paint after it had time to cure and dry on there. It always depends on the type of paint that’s been used by for both vehicle and wall wraps you’ll want to wait at least two weeks after a fresh paint job before applying graphics.

We used cut vinyl for the light teal stripes, red accent stripes, and white accents and the logo and other artistic graphics were digitally printed. Retro Sno  provided the logo art and general design idea to us and we made it happen! For this particular truck, we had to have a very quick turnaround time for a project this large because they were providing the vehicle to us only two days before they were showing it at a big reveal at a community event. This meant we had to work fast and we had to get everything perfectly done the first time. Food trucks in general can be slightly more challenging than the average vehicle wrap because they are so uniquely shaped and they often have a lot of hardware (like nuts and bolts) on the outside the installer has to work with.

In the end we were able to get it done on time and they revealed the brand new “Tres” to customers happy to get a snoball on a warm summer’s day.
