Sign Education: Acryclic Letters for Custom Business Signs—Franklin, TN

When you ask to have acrylic letters put on your custom business sign, it’s like going into Subway and asking for a sandwich. There are many different options and you can make your sign one-of-a-kind using acrylic letters!

Clear acrylic letters show up very nicely against a dark background and give any business sign a clean finish. However, fingerprints show up somewhat easily on the clear letters, so in order to maintain cleanliness, any sign with clear letters should be placed where people wouldn’t accidently be touching it everyday.

Brushed metal acrylic letters are becoming increasingly popular for custom business signage becuase they are a little less expensive alternative to solid metal letters (solid metal letters can be a little more pricey). The substrate “backer” material (in the picture on the far left, it’s dark blue) is made out of acrylic material. The brushed gold and aluminum finishes on the acrylic backer material are made from a thin metal sheet. Using acrylic letters for brushed metal signs saves money!
