Custom Ranger Boat Wrap in Franklin, TN “Screams America”

Our customer brought his well-loved Ranger Boat to us and wanted us to give it a makeover. It had certainly seen better days, and needed some TLC both inside and out. When discussing ideas on ways we could wrap all the fiberglass surfaces, he said he wanted a sleek, clean look that “screamed America!”  With that in mind, we designed, fabricated, and installed a full-coverage boat wrap that was simple and all-American.

One thing to note is that boat wraps are much different than vehicle wraps because of the visible surface area when boats are in the water. So we took that into account when creating the design for the wrap. We started by creating a custom template for the boat. We took a series of photos of all sides of the boat from the same distance. Using the measurements of the boat, we drew the template, and placed the art on the template. From there, we could determine the exact proportions of the design in relation to the visibility once in the water. We worked with the customer to choose the perfect graphics that would “Scream America.” We decided that nothing does that better than the American flag! We scaled artwork of the flag to the length of the boat, and positioned it on our handmade template. Once the proof was approved, we created print files and began production.

We printed the wrap digitally on Avery Dennison MPI 1105 cast vinyl with an applied protective UV laminate, and installed the printed flag material to the exterior surfaces of the boat.

To freshen up the interior of the boat, we digitally printed a solid blue vinyl to match the blue in the flag design. It made the interior look almost new, and matched the patriotic look of the exterior!

The customer was thrilled with the finished product, and will certainly ‘make some waves’ as he takes it out on the water around Independence Day – and any day!
