Standby Generators
A standby generator, also called a Whole-House Generator, serves as a backup power supply in case of power outages. These generators turn on automatically when the power goes out and turn off when the power comes back. Newer models are also able to perform self-diagnostic checks to make sure that their systems are properly functioning.
These generators are not portable and have to be professionally installed. They require regular maintenance. This makes them an expensive option due to a higher purchase, installation, and maintenance cost. These generators are commonly used in large commercial buildings, hotels, and large homes. Although an expensive option, it can be a good investment for people residing in areas with frequent power outages.
