Using Dimensional Wall Lettering for Corporate Mission and Value Statements

Posted in: Industry News

Recently, we reported on the work we have been doing with QCD. You might remember the installation of the company’s four-foot-tall channel letters. This time, we worked with the client on a set of interior dimensional wall lettering in Chicago, IL, which focuses on the firm’s creed and values.

Tape-Mounting 500 Dimensional Letters in Perfect Rows

The text consists of 500 individual characters. Therefore, it was essential that our team would mount them at precise distances and perfectly straight lines. With one line of lettering, this is usually relatively simple. It requires a good eye and planning.

However, when dealing with so many style elements, it is crucial to measure twice and mount once. To achieve this goal, we began the process with the creation of a cardboard cutout that features the pattern of letters and spaces.

From there, our technicians could apply the 500 characters one by one. Doing so ensured that each individual character was properly mounted with specialized tape that would hold it securely in place.

Now, visitors to the space see the elegant creed and values definitions with perfect spacing.

How to Integrate a Mission, Vision, or Similar Statement in Your Interior Décor

QCD is part of a growing majority of companies that introduce brand messages at the reception area interaction with the consumer. While some focus on the mission the company has decided on, others have chosen to include value statements and creed missives.

You could take a page from the playbook of QCD, and select dimensional letters for the display; however, there are plenty of other options.

  • Vinyl lettering. A large number of clients have had excellent success with the design, fabrication, and installation of vinyl wall lettering in the reception area, in hallways, or in meeting spaces. Other popular locations include waiting rooms and employee lounges. Choose lettering alone or augment the information with graphics featuring your corporate symbol.
  • Routed acrylic. If you prefer to introduce these brand messages as wall art, consider the placement of one or more acrylic panels. We can treat them with back-mounted overlays featuring your corporate persona and then handle the fronts with the router. After backfilling the letters with paint, these acrylic panels quickly become aesthetic contributions to the interior decor.
  • Metal plaques. For the business that is looking to metal for a brand definition, you cannot go wrong with a plaque. We recommend etching the material because it allows for the succinct display of smaller print. Choose a metal that looks great in your space. This type of product typically displays in the lobby in a prominent area.
