Sign Tips – Full-color graphics in the office: murals, logos, graphics

Posted in: Industry News

Your business environment doesn’t have to be boring to be professional! While decorating your office may seem like an unnecessary expense there are real benefits to using graphics throughout. It’s all about communication, isn’t it? Think about how you can use your wall and floor space to communicate with your customers and your employees.

With full-color graphics, large or small, you can create inspirational, educational, and downright memorable displays. Here are some ideas to get you started:

Wall murals in unexpected places: Is your employee breakroom a pleasant place to spend time? What about adding a mural to one of the walls? What about your public restroom? Could it use some sprucing up? Our dentist has soothing wall murals – rivers, forests, etc – we can stare at when we’re stuck in the chair! There are many new products available for putting your graphics on walls from wallpaper to removable / repositionable media.

Your logo: Sure, your logo is on your stationery but where else could it be? What about the laptops you and your employees carry from meeting to meeting? Is it part of the signage on your doors / windows? Is it visible behind anyone doing video-conference calls?

Lobby sign with your mission statement: Having your mission statement in your lobby is powerful. It creates a strong positive impression on your customers and continously reinforces the mission statement with employees. Replace one of those stock posters with a lobby sign that lets people know what you do and what values you stand for. It doesn’t have to be huge or fancy. Simply stated messages speak for themselves.

Those big, empty, forgotten spaces: Hallways are often overlooked. Use one to create a timeline of your company with pictures of “then and now”. Conference rooms can be even more boring than hallways – at least in a hallway you’re on your way somewhere else! Large-format digital prints will let you create your own view for the conference room! What about pictures of a project in process? Or hide an unattractive view with window graphics. Training rooms are a great place to use visuals. Floors graphics is the new trend in signage. They can be used as wayfinding signs (leading people in the direction you want them to go) or your logo on the floor at the entrance to your store.

Spot-On Signs & Graphics specializes in full-color, large-format digital printing and we use eco-friendly 100% latex ink. If you can imagine it, we can make it!
