Sometimes you just need to talk about a positive outcome for a customer. One of the reasons I really enjoy my job is that the result of our work in many cases is a marked increase in our customers business. A recent example of the positive impact that our work has promoted was for a gentleman who came to us for help improving his business. David had been working as a handyman for several years, and he was barely making a living, doing difficult work in many cases for moderate wages. David got our number from another one of our happy customers, and asked us for a best value proposal to give him a more professional appearance. He had been operating from a GMC mini van, and had 2 issues~ first was security, due to the large windows on the side of the van, David had experienced several break ins and theft of his tools. Second was professionalism, due to the ordinary look of his vehicle, some of his prospective customers had told him that they were not confident that he had the skills,to do the work, and went with a more established company. Knowing that David was on a very tight budget for the project, we proposed some lettering and some larger graphics to be applied to the side, windows and 50/50 window perf for the back window. For significantly less than a full wrap, we provided David with a high impact solution that not only transformed his work vehicle from an ugly old van into a professional looking company vehicle, but the window graphics on the sides and back will help prevent further thefts of David’s equipment. The result for David was both immediate and significant. On the way home from our facility, he was stopped by another driver and offered a painting job. The next day he received 2 calls while driving to an existing job from people who saw his new traveling billboard, and he says he no longer has to go looking for work, now it actually comes to him! A recent study by the 3m company found that a vehicle in a small metropolitan area will receive over 50,000 impressions per month! All from a 1 time investment that will last for years with no reoccurring costs.
