Still River Greenway Brookfield, CT

Love the outdoors and looking to explore new nature parks here in Brookfield? The Still River Greenway’s opening is getting closer. The next phase of development has begun. This is a project that started in 2000, but has been dreamed of since the late 1960s. Now the project is so close to becoming a reality.

On June 24, town residents voted to cover $481,400 — the final 20% match of a $2.4 million federal grant. The vote passed! Now this remaining money will allow construct to be finished on almost 2 miles of the 10 foot-wide asphalt.  This new path will be available for all sorts of activities including biking, jogging, walking with strollers and wheelchairs.

Dennis DiPinto, the Brookfield Park and Recreation Director, needed a trail map for a new walking path. We were happy to contribute to this project by adding to the sign you see below for the Still River Greenway. Brookfield already had the wooden post ready for the map, so we step in to print and install. To do this, we printed the map on our printer using our x-rite colors and applied it on a 40 x64  PVC material.  We also cut out a Lexan material so it will protect the print from sunlight, harsh weather and vandalism, plus it looks professional.  The map shows walkers and bicyclists where the new path leads to.
