Window Decals – The Home Plate Delicatessen – Monroe CT

Posted in: Industry News

Our very good  friend Michael Giannone knows the owners of the Home Plate Deli in Monroe, Bob and Kurt.  The deli is located at 483 Monroe Turnpike (Route 111), 2.2 miles on the left hand side from the end of Route 25 in the Reda Center in Monroe.   They have the finest in deli items, Boar’s Head Cold Cuts, Daily Homemade Specials, Italian imports, Terranova Bread from the Bronx, Artuso’s  Pastries, Party Subs, and much more.  They even do hot and cold catering.  Check out their menu when you go there, and expect to have something special.

Bob and Kurt mentioned to Michael that they wanted to give the place a bit of a new appearance.   So, Michael contacted us.  They wanted the following:

1) Their logo, which consists of baseball bats crossing over a home plate, with the Italian green, white and red colors on the on the side, on each of their glass windows.

2) The top and bottom of their windows with the Italian colors.

3) The front door with their hours with the Italian colors around it.

In short, they wanted an Italian touch to be reflected with window graphics and window decals.     Before we started, we went to the deli and measured all the windows and the door, basically all the areas that needed window decals.   They showed us what logo and graphics they had, and we printed it on our printer.  For multi-colors we use our 5 foot printer.  Our colors are from the X-Rite Color Management System, it shows the logo in high definition.  After it prints, we double check the measurements.  We then bring the window decals to their shop and place them on the windows.  To do this, we printed their logo on vinyl, then laminated it to protect the ink.  We cut the vinyl to size, to fit the windows. Then, it’s applied to the window with the mighty squeegee. It’s a process, but one that we are very knowledgeable about and take great pride in.
