Tips on Choosing A Moving Company 4 | Avoid Movers Who Use Contractors Instead of Employees

Moving is stressful enough without dealing with unskilled labor on your moving day. Some moving companies, even the so called big names, use casual labor in place of full time employees.  Often these contractors haven’t been trained in the finer points of how to handle your belongings.  In addition, contractors are often not screened and may have a criminal record, drug problems or a careless attitude towards your move, which is a risk you shouldn’t have to take.

As a rule, look for a moving company that employs professional movers; you want a moving team that is professional, ethical, trustworthy and skilled. For example, an experienced team understands that all artwork, lamps and lamp shades must be packed in a container to protect them.  Proper packing may take a little longer but this added effort helps insure that your household items come off the moving truck in the same shape they left your home.

Remember the moving company you choose is only as good as the moving team that arrives on the day of your move. At Anderson Bros. Movers we hire and train only the individuals we trust to represent us.

Consider what a recent client of Anderson Bros. Movers had to say. Thank you for your excellent service during our move.  Your team was not only extremely careful, efficient and courteous but they were a pleasure to work with.  Our move involved a 4th floor walk-up and your crew handled every challenge with absolute ease and professionalism.” — Thank You, Allison & Bryon, San Francisco
