Tips on Choosing A Moving Company 2 | Avoid a Mover with No Physical Address

There are a number of moving scams out there, everything from outright theft of your belongings to holding your items hostage in the truck until you pay a “new made up fee”. Don’t become a victim of these scams.

So what can you do to minimize the risk of falling for one of these scams? Watch out for Internet ads that appear to provide moving services but are not what they say they are. Beware of “virtual movers” that don’t have a physical address and phone number that you can verify. A scammer can easily create a web presence but have nothing to back it up.

A reputable moving company will have a physical address. Make sure that any mover you consider working with has a physical address that actually exists.  Confirming, in advance, that your moving company has a physical presence and isn’t brand new in the business will get you off  to the right start.

We move the BEST… Shouldn’t we be moving YOU?
