Elevator Wraps in Cleveland, OH for University Hospitals

Signs PDQ works closely with University Hospitals of Cleveland on the “Wrap Elevators” program. We originally received a quote request for several quantities of elevators throughout the Cleveland Area.

Once we were awarded the job, University Hospital’s design team and placement of the exact graphic in the exact location came into play.  UH realizes that while patients and guests are waiting for the elevator they have limited time to read the message that is wrapped on the door!  It is important in designing an elevator wrap to know that “less is more”.  Because of  limited time to read the message it must be directly to the point, very legible and designed clearly.

Check out the photos in the Gallery above.  You can see that the design is right to the point!  The Signs PDQ team did a fabulous job on the quick installation of these elevator wraps.  A maintenance attendant for each elevator had to be called upon to STOP elevator service while the installation took place!  In the case of a hospital lobby having only one elevator the team had to plan their visit early in the morning or late at night!  We were happy to work around the schedule convenient to our customer!

Once we were awarded the elevator wrap job, our team measured the dimensions that the graphic would have to be.  To my surprise… elevators are  NOT  all created equal in size…meaning that there were several measurements needed.  The graphic designers at Signs PDQ reviewed the design documents, making sure they were printed to fit the correct elevator in the correct location!  This information was then sent back to UH for approval.  Once approved, these designs were printed on our large format printer, laminated for extra protection and carefully cut a little larger than the elevator’s dimensions.  Organization of the printed graphics were key to this project.
