Custom Police Vehicle Graphics for Willoughby, OH Police Department

Willoughby Police Department was beginning the process of purchasing several new vehicles.  With this purchase a new design for the vehicles was in order.  The Willoughby police department began searching for a company to work with for this project. Signs PDQ was chosen.  The policemen in charge of the project had several ideas about the design.  Combining their ideas with the ideas of our graphic designer was key to the successful project.

The gallery below shows images of the process for installation of the vehicle graphics.  From left to right you will see the car that has no vinyl applied.  This vehicle must be completely clean before the project can begin.  The next step is pictured to the right, is to apply the main segment of the design.  This step is time consuming as it is the foundation of the rest of the design.  On the next photo you can see the word “POLICE” and the city Willoughby positioned underneath.  The white “paper” that is over these words allows the installer to line them up in the exact spot they belong.  This paper, called transfer tape, is carefully peeled away leaving the final photo.  When installing vehicle lettering it is important to remember “patience is a virtue” !!!!

The Police Department was so pleased with this transaction that Signs PDQ completed 10+ vehicles.  We are very proud of  the design of the vehicles and are fortunate to see them frequently pass us on the street!
