Goleta, CA – Custom Vinyl and Sibond Tenant ID Signs for Office Furniture Store

Tenant ID signs help with wayfinding by indicating where to enter for a specific business or suite. Smart! Office Interiors is located in a building that has multiple suite numbers and tenants and they needed signage to identify the different suites. Each suite had all glass doors so they wanted to mount the signs there. For glass, best type of sign is vinyl, however, the client wanted a more high-end look so we used Oracal’s Chrome Brushed vinyl. Mounting a metal sign on glass can get very complicated so using a vinyl with a metal look is a great alternative.

We digitally printed the logos onto clear vinyl and laid it on top of the chrome brushed vinyl. For the black lettering on the suite signs, we used standard, opaque, black vinyl. The graphics were then laminated to assure durability and applied directly to the outside of the glass. The end result is a vinyl graphic that is much more high end than just a cut out logo applied directly to a glass door.

We made one more sign for the Smart! Office Interiors logo which was a Sibond sign for one of the solid doors. Sibond is a material that is made from a sheet of polycarbonate that is sandwiched between two sheets of aluminum. It is a great alternative to aluminum and works great for exterior signs. Sibond comes in white and brushed; for this sign we used brushed Sibond to match the door signs.

We also digitally printed the logo for this sign, laid it on the Sibond, laminated it, and mounted it to the door using VHB and silicone. The reason we didn’t use this type of sign for the doors is because you would be able to see the VHB and silicone from the other side of the door since the glass is clear. It would also likely leave residue or possibly damage the glass if the sign needs to be removed in the future.
