Santa Clarita, CA – Custom Painted Acrylic Letters for Pediatric Service

McRory Pediatric Center needed new interior signage for their new Santa Clarita location so we made them two sets of acrylic dimensional letter signs. Dimensional letters are individual 3-dimensional letters that are use for both interior and exterior signage. Both the logo sign and the “Discovering Together” sign were interior signs.

Our dimensional letter signs are made by routing letters and logos from flat sheets of acrylic or aluminum. We use aluminum when the client is looking for a metal look, but in this case the client wanted their logo colors so we used acrylic. For anything other than metal, we use acrylic because it comes in many standard colors and can also be custom painted any color.

For both of these signs we used 3/8″ thick acrylic. The client provides us with the paint colors for their logo so we can make sure that the color is accurate. It is common that a company will only have the CMYK color because logos are commonly only made for web use. However, CMYK doesn’t translate to paint so in that case we ask for a Pantone color.

Once the letters are routed and painted, we apply the mounting hardware. If we are going to mount with adhesives, we apply VHB to the back and if we are going to mount with studs, the letters get tapped with studs.
