Sunny Hills H. S. Dance Production Window Wraps – by Superior Signs and Graphics

Window wraps for SHHS Dance Production

The Dance Production teacher at SHHS in Fullerton, California found out that we do window graphics and window wraps and asked us to assist them with some graphics to cover several of their windows.  Their problem was that they do not have a changing room for the girls at the studio, and because of the distance to the locker rooms, a vacant storage closet was converted to a changing room.  The closet however, has two 3’ x 4’ square windows looking out to the dance studio.

The idea of some kind of blinds or curtains turned to vinyl window wraps when they realized that they would not only serve the purpose of providing some privacy, but also add some style and pizzaz to the dance studio.  Sunny Hills High school was built in 1959 and many of the older sections of the school like the building the dance studio is in need a bit of a face lift.

We put an initial design together by looking at a file with different logos that Dance Production had used in the past for logoed travel wear, as well as school colors and logo.  We ended up making two different proofs for them to look at and with a few adjustments and customer feedback we came up with a simple but bold design.  The room next to the changing room was chosen to add a third window wrap as we went through the design process, and one window in the center would simply be wrapped black to add continuity without overwhelming that corner of the room.

We used 3M vinyl for printing the wraps, and laminated each with and Avery gloss overlaminate.  The laminate will help the wraps withstand the traffic and fingerprints likely with the location of these windows and will make them easy to clean.

After a clean installation, the Dance Production teacher raved about how good the windows looked and repeatedly thanked us for our work.  The window wraps are now functional as well as attractive and highlight the Dance Production logos and Sunny Hills H.S. black and gold colors!  Go Lancers!
