Elementary School Wall Wraps Encapsulate the School Spirit

Ernest O. Lawrence Elementary School welcomes students at 12521 Monroe Street in Garden Grove. The school is renowned for its diverse student population and faculty. The principal wanted the types of word wall graphics for schools and offices they had seen us do for Bolsa Grande High School. You may remember that at that school, we worked with the administration on designing weight room wall graphics and a set of graphics to transform the administration office. These included a word wall.

However, for Lawrence Elementary, the client requested a word wall featuring English, Spanish, Korean, and Vietnamese language inclusion. Could we do it? You bet! Our graphic artist put the school’s logo and mascot in the center of the wall wrap. Then, we designed and sized the terms to fit together perfectly and make all languages easy to read. The finished product is an excellent representation of the school’s spirit in the main office reception area.

Multilingual Word Walls are Excellent Displays for Reception Areas

Word walls are visually organized displays of important words and terms in a specific subject or context. In educational settings, including reception areas, they augment communication. A good example is the need for vocabulary development. Word walls expose visitors, including young children, to various vocabulary words relevant to the environment. As a result, schools love to feature their spirit terms and language included in the motto.

Our team routinely customizes these products to suit the environmental context. In a reception area, word walls are tailored to the specific school, office, or business. For instance, if the reception area is in a museum or art gallery, the word wall can feature relevant terminology related to art, history, or exhibits.

At Lawrence Elementary, the word wall includes terns that reflect the community’s diversity. This promotes cultural awareness and inclusion, helping visitors learn about different languages, cultures, and perspectives. At the same time, word walls provide a helpful reference for common terms and phrases for individuals with limited English proficiency. This support can facilitate better communication between staff and visitors.
