Fleet Graphics – Wrap or Decals? – By Superior Signs and Graphics in Buena Park

Posted in: Industry News

A lot of businesses are intrigued by the amazing vehicle graphics available today – but recoil once they learn what it will cost to get a well-designed, properly installed full vehicle wrap using high quality materials that will last.  That sticker-shock causes a lot of businesses that could really benefit from advertising on existing vehicle assets to abandon the idea.

The reality is that full vehicle wraps can allow a business to get the attention and interest of thousands of commuters every day, and help communicate complex messages with brilliant images and graphics. This impactful visual display cannot be achieved with simple vehicle lettering.   However, if the customer cannot afford the full wrap, or has a simple message to communicate – like “we offer plumbing services”…there may be an attractive option that fits without the need to spend thousands of dollars.

Economical Option for Fleet Graphics

We call that option “Decals and Lettering”.  Take a recent customer example: a medical supplies and equipment company in Anaheim, CA that has an existing full size van driving around delivering goods to customers, while passing by literally thousands of customers every day.  These customers do not know who is driving that blank white van, or what products and services they offer.  There are thousands of potential marketing impressions that are missed each day – and could be captured easily and inexpensively.

The decals and lettering option for commercial vehicles relies on using the base vehicle color for the design. From there, we merely add corporate logos, product image decals and/or attention getting colors and stripes to compliment the vehicle lettering and company brand.  Because we are only applying die-cut decals and lettering and not covering the entire vehicle in vinyl, the price of this option is very appealing.  Often a vehicle that would cost $3,000 to fully wrap could be done with decals and lettering using the base color of the paint for 1/3 of the cost or less.

The attached photos of Wellness Medical’s Van decals and lettering shows how a $1,000 solution can make a white van look like a professional fleet vehicle!  Get your message across with fleet graphics at Superior Signs and Graphics!
