The process of custom vehicle graphics for School of Rock in Boca Raton

Sign Partners took on another exciting project in Boca Raton. Sign Partners has been working with School of Rock on several projects and were currently hired to install vehicle graphics on their brand new car. As with any vehicle project, we strive to get the best result possible. This time, we worked with School of Rock which was an exciting pursuit. What we loved about working with this client was that they knew exactly what they wanted. A lot of times it is up to us to work with the client to find the design and layout they need. It’s fun, but it is an added step. When we have a client who brings a partial design we are happy to corporate and bring different ideas together.

Good things can’t be rushed though—as professionals we know this! With this project a full vehicle wrap was not required; rather, this one was with cut graphics. That means that the color of the vehicle needs to be incorporated into the design. The company colors for this client are red, white and black. They brought us a red vehicle to start with.

Next, we had to create the design. With full vehicle wraps there are two steps: printing and lamination. With a vehicle graphic, there is a third step. The graphics need to be transferred to a wide format HP Latex 360 print. That is then covered with a durable lamination to protect from fading. Once the printing and lamination are completed, the graphics need to be cut with our Graphtex cutter. They are then masked with application tape that makes it easier for our expert team to do the final install.

Finally, the team brings the vehicle to the warehouse. We need to keep the environment as dust- and particle-free as possible and a controlled setting is the only way to ensure this. It not only handles debris, but we also can monitor the temperature for the vinyl. Installation is intense and the time needed is dictated by the size of the vehicle and the type of graphics being placed. Normally it takes one day to apply and after that, the vehicle is ready for road use.

In the end, the result was fantastic. We are big fans of vehicle marketing. It is one of the most effective ways to brand a vehicle and advertise as you drive.
