To show their support for Sounders FC, the McDonald’s food truck gives out free medium french fries with any purchase on game day.  They sought us out at RainMaker Signs searching for a vehicle wrap to really catch people’s eyes.

Looking to the photo above you can see how the vehicle wrap looked upon completion.  Looking at the second photo below, you can see how the vehicle wrap turned out up close.  The vehicle wrap has a northwest theme with the evergreen trees and light blue sky complimented with the McDonald’s logo for a touch of added branding.

Since the local owners of McDonald’s of western Washington are supporters of local events this food truck serves french fries at Century Link Field on the days of the matches.  The food truck travels to many events around the Pacific Northwest, anything from the Sounders’ game to the Daffodil Festival.

Prior to being wrapped, the food truck was just a plain, solid red.  The food truck was wrapped with a vinyl picturing evergreen firs and a blue sky.  Since McDonald’s wanted the truck to be customizable to specific events, they wanted to be able to place magnets on the food truck.  After searching for a material that magnets would adhere to, a material called rubber steel (rubber material containing steel flecks) was settled on.  Adhesive backed rubber steel panels were placed in locations where the magnets would be placed, and vinyl was placed over the panels to camouflage them and match them to the rest of the truck.
