Guidant Financial recently relocated their office to a location that is more comfortable for both the clientele and employees. Instead of reusing their old lobby sign in their new office space, they opted for a new lobby sign, and that is where we at RainMaker Signs stepped in.
In the picture above you can see up close that the panel for the company name and logo is rust colored. Looking to the picture below, you can fully see the company name and logo and how well they stand out against the backing.
Started in 2003, Guidant Financial has made a name for themselves as an industry leading small business financing company. Offering many types of loans and leases their staff is composed of experts who help everyday people fund small business financing.
In order to achieve the rust coloring of the backing for the sign, there was a bit of a lengthy process that ensued. While a brushed aluminum was used for the lettering and the logo, the panel was actually made of steel. We worked with Allied Steel in Redmond to change the steel to a copper looking color in only a day! In order to give the steel the rusty look, Allied Steel treated the steel panel with Hydrogen Peroxide, Salt, and Vinegar to speed up the oxidation process and afterwards a layer of clear coat was painted on the panel to seal in the rust.
Guidant Financial made a wise move when they decided to get a new lobby sign for their new location. While reusing the old lobby sign would have been cheaper, the older lobby sign may not have suited the new environment. Considering the size differences of the new lobby compared to the old, it is important to consider how important the size of the lobby sign is in relation to the lobby itself.
